Bodyfit Pilates & Yoga started at Ohana Chiropractic in Macedon, Victoria as a place to provide clientele with rehabilitation and movement. The demand was bigger than we had anticipated leading us to move to a larger location in Gisborne. At Bodyfit Pilates & Yoga we provide a variety of options from private classes to group classes using the elements of pilates and yoga. Bron came across yoga in 2000 while living in the UK, it gave her the tools to cope with the stresses of a busy career as a professional chef. As soon as she stepped onto the mat it felt like home and she knew that yoga would always be part of her life. Teaching Yoga is Bron's passion and she believes yoga is for everyone regardless of age, fitness or flexibility, “Yoga is a personal pursuit not a competition, we each have our own personal goals to achieve as we are all unique”. “I will always be a student of the practice and am deeply grateful for the support, wisdom and guidance my teachers have shared with me”.

Coming from a background of training her clients for a triathlons, marathons, cycling and conditioning. Tammara found herself falling in love with the benefits of Pilates and Yoga as it complimented her all round fitness and, helps prevent injuries. After completing her studies 4 years ago she found Yoga and Pilates not only helped her clients on a physical level but also on a mind and spiritual level.
She understands the benefits on the body and mind these two disciplines have and the connection between the two. She is very passionate about her clients/students being able to learn & listen and look after their bodies, as well as their soul. “Philosophy in life, we have our body, mind and soul together once in this life time, look after and appreciate what we have, it can’t be replaced. Jo brings years of fitness experience and a competitive sports background to the team. Jo has been teaching in recent years as a Pilates Reformer instructor . She is always looking at ways to improve her skills and add valued knowledge to her customers. Currently Jo is undertaking her yoga certification and is loving the learning and change of pace from pilates to yoga. Jo is loving the vibrant team at Bodyfit Pilates & Yoga since joining in early 2015.
Lana started her career in the fitness industry as an aerobic instructor and personal trainer over 15 years ago. After developing a back injury she was introduced to Pilates as part of her rehabilitation program. Inspired by the results she pursued a career in Clinical Pilates training studying in Australia and New York. She has since worked alongside industry leaders, chiropractors and osteopaths in the field of rehabilitation and muscle conditioning. Lana specialises in pre/post natal fitness, rehabilitation and is the Pilates and Wellness Ambassator for Diabetes Australalia.
After several years as a student of a variety of yoga styles including Hatha, Iyenger, Bikram and Vinyasa, becoming a teacher gave Petrina an opportunity to share her love of wellness, yoga and its many benefits with her community. Working with crossfit athletes, Petrina studied Pilates and completed her Personal Trainers certification to help raise their body awareness. She understands the importance of mobility in conjunction with injury prevention and management. Petrina is currently studying a BA in science.
Renata started her career as a professional dancer. The love for movement and a healthy mind lead her to explore many styles of yoga in different countries. She truly enjoyed the disciplines of Astanga yoga which is what she first trained in before teaching other styles of yoga. Renata is a very experienced teacher with years of experience.
Tayla has been an active sports enthusiast her entire life! She has competed in varies sporting activities to a state level such as netball. Her love for sports lead her into teaching Pilates and Personal Fitness. She is currently studying a bachelor of science in health and physical education.
Yoga has been part of Kym’s life for over 12 years. She studied in India where she lived at an Ashram for 5 years mastering her technique in Yoga and Philosophy. Over the past 5 years Kym has inspired many with her wellness retreats to India, Bali, Australia and Asia. Kym and Lana run regular retreats overseas in both Pilates and Yoga. Holly starting her love for exercise from a passion for wholefoods and a healthy lifestyle. As a Pilates teacher her aim is to ensure you walk out with not only a smile on your face but leap in your step. Holly is also the owner of Holly May Wellbeing, producing delicious wholefoods to health food stores, wellness stores, etc and runs wholefoods educational workshops
Jamie is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher in heated hatha, vinyasa and Yin style practices. A lifelong student, Jamie completed her initial training in 2016 and since then has completed her 50hr Yin training and soon to complete her 500hr Teacher Training. She regularly participates in workshops to enhance her practice and the knowledge she can offer her students. Her classes are fluid and creative, utilising a natural progression to make it enjoyable for all students. She invites you to test your edge, lighten your heart and know when to rest. Passionate about deepening the connection between mind, body and spirit, she also likes to integrate tantric philosophy, meditation, and prana (breath) based practices in her classes

Sheridan has been involved within the fitness industry for over 20 years , having completed her initial certificate 3 & 4 in fitness and worked as a gym instructor and personal trainer. She is also a yoga teacher (200hrs teacher training) and in 2017 completed her certificate in Pilates Mat Teaching.
